This has to be one of the most iconic Mercedes-Benz models ever made...the Mercedes-Benz “Pagoda” SL. This Mercedes Pagoda has been with the same owner for the last 19 years. Dark Blue (387H) with contrasting cream leather interior complemented by a beautiful ivory steering wheel and gear knob. This SL was a personal import from the United States and thanks to the fine weather over there it hasn't suffered from any of the corrosion issues that can be found with Irish & English counterparts of the same era. This Mercedes-Benz 250 SL comes with the optional “Hard Top” as well as a deep blue mohair soft top. This car has had a considerable amount of money spent in the last 19 years. Mechanically the engine is superb with no blue smoke. The 6 Cylinder engine is a replacement unit which was bought in Germany a number of years ago (the original engine is still available and comes with the car). The radiator has been also been replaced which allows for better cooling than the original. The rear differential was overhauled and rebuilt which included all rear bushings and rubber components. The original tools and bag (which are often lost) also come with the car. Four new Bilstein shock absorbers all round were fitted and it has benefitted from a full wax oil treatment and weather proofing. The car drives very well and comes with the optional power steering. The 6 Cylinder engine and 4 speed automatic transmission are extremely smooth and it pulls well up through the gears having no trouble keeping up in modern traffic. It comes with a retro BECLER stereo (looks exactly like the original) but comes with a hidden CD player as well as Bluetooth interface and USB/SD inputs. I personally prefer the sound of that raspy 6 cylinder engine which is a joy to rev. Its no wonder why this model SL is so coveted. Mercedes-Benz made a true classic when it developed this model SL and it is likely to continue to appreciate in value as the years go on. If you are in the market for something really special for either investment or to just enjoy at the weekends than look no further than this 1967 Mercedes-Benz 250SL.
